The Development Team is designed for athletes who are looking for more days on snow, increased competition experience and a fast-track program bridging the gap to Performance Teams. Athletes in this program are aged between 8 – 18 yrs old. Athletes must be able to ski parallel on blue runs and be confident trying black runs. This program takes a balanced approach to the freestyle ski disciplines and focuses on teaching skills in Slopestyle (the terrain park), Moguls, Freeskiing and Big Air, in order to build competent life-long skiers. D-team athletes will be expected to participate in Regional Competitions, Big White Freestyle produced Huck, Tuck and Stomp and BC Freestyle Timber Tour events as recommended by the coaching staff. Competition fees will apply to athletes for any events not at Big White Ski Resort.
This program includes two 3-day camps (Christmas January 2-4, 2023 and Spring break March 26-28 2024).
Participation in any club activities is NOT permitted without proper license. Please download a copy of your BC Freestyle membership card. It will be required when registering for any Big White Freestyle programs.
