The Riders snowboarding program is for athletes ages 8 – 18. Riders is a fun, progressive program for athletes who have learned to snowboard and are ready to take their skills to the next level. The RIDERS Program has been developed by Canada Snowboard Coaching Program and Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors as an introduction to competitive snowboarding in a structured, safe, and supportive environment. The athletes further their base snowboard skills and develop specific skills to enter each of the competitive snowboard disciplines. Riders develops a solid multi-skill foundation to build upon and helps athletes progress their all-mountain, snowboard cross, and slopestyle skills. Athletes are encouraged to compete in Grom Series events, local jams, and club events.
Riders athletes must be able to load a chairlift unassisted, take care of their own equipment and link turns on a Blue run, and be familiar with the Telus Park and features.
Competition fees will apply to athletes for any events not at Big White Ski Resort and are due within 30 days of receipt of invoice.
Participation in any club activities is NOT permitted without proper license. Please download a copy of your BC Snowboard membership card. It will be required when registering for any Big White Freestyle programs.
