If you and the kids are thinking about shredding with the Big White Freestyle Club and developing your athletes skills in a FUN Safe Environment.  We have a perfect opportunity for you.  Come join us on Sunday December 15 for our “Try Freestyle Day”.  There is a free temporary membership available and the cost for the whole day of coaching is only $55.  We will meet at 9:15am Behind the Ridge Day lodge at the bottom of the Snow Ghost chair at Big White Ski Resort.  They will be with you for lunch and our certified experienced coaches will show them a few progressions.

WHO WE ARE
PUTTING ATHLETES FIRST

Big White Freestyle is a not for profit ski and snowboard club.  We are a member driven organization that works in collaboration with national and provincial organizations to promote freestyle and free skiing and snowboarding, as well as boardercross in a fun, safe, and progressive team environment. We offer programs suited to athletes of all abilities and ages, from recreational to competitive, and beginner to aspiring international competitor. 

If your child is passionate about wanting to shred the bumps and powder, or send it into the deep then Big White Freestyle offers a safe and fun pathway to progress those skills.  We are based out of Kelowna, British Columbia and Big White Ski Resort. 

OUR PARTNERS
IT TAKES A VILLAGE

Big White Freestyle operates in partnership with Freestyle Canada, BC Freestyle, International Freeski Association (IFSA), and BC Snowboard (BCSB). These organizations support clubs and athletes across Canada and North America. Each participant of Big White Freestyle programs will need to register and purchase the appropriate Licence or Licences through one or more of these organizations. This includes skiers, snowboarders, and any participant of dryland/air training programs. Please note there are different renewal dates.

OUR COACHES
BUILDING THE FOUNDATION FOR OUR ATHLETES

Our coaches are passionate about not only seeing your athletes skiing and riding skills improve, but in fostering a strong work ethic and self confidence that comes through Athletic endeavours. While we compete as individuals, we train and work as a team.

Our Coaches are all certified by Freestyle Canada and Canada Snowboard. They are highly trained and experienced in the disciplines they coach.

Our coaching philosophy has 3 components that are centred around your Athletes. We strive to provide the very best environment for your athlete to progress and follow this model:

  • Safety – we ensure all athletes are challenged in a way that follows athletic progression to minimize risk of injury.
  • Fun – our goal is to keep your athletes smiling! We encourage building relationships, challenging one’s self and celebrating successes!
  • Progression – our Coaches will guide and introduce your athletes to each step in our progressions to ensure your Athlete grows their skills and achieves their goals
